"Having Brendan and the “Your MultiSport Coach Team” as my coach has made such a difference to my outlook on training, understanding of endurance training, as well as my performance itself.
Brendan is always available and provides such guidance and coaching whilst being adaptable and makes adjustments as we need to my training.
I’ve never felt so physically and mentally fit and strong as I do now thanks to Brendans coaching. I have discovered confidence in my endurance abilities that I didn’t know existed. Training sessions are made exciting as Your Multi Sport Coach encourages ongoing learning and development every day, teaching you how to push and grow without having to break yourself in the process.
An amazing all round endurance coach providing support and knowledge about all things Running, Cycling, Swimming and even Fuelling your performances.
I’m very proud of my achievements this far and couldn’t have done it without you Brendan!"

"I'm not sure if this guy has outstanding warrants in other countries, but he's a fucking sadistic torture merchant and he should be locked up. He won't turn you into an ironman, he'll pound your hopes and dreams into oblivion and reduce you to nothing more than a blubbering pool of tears and blood. Hitler's got nothing on this bloke, and that's why I love him. 10/10, I would definitely recommend Your Multisport Coach for anyone who is looking to have their soul destroyed."

"I was training under another Townsville coach and felt that he wasn't really in tune with where I was as an athlete and where I wanted to be. I had a chat with Brendan, and 2 years later, I've got a sprint, an Olympic distance and a 70.3 under my belt, and I'm less than a month away from my first full distance Ironman. Most importantly, I now consider him a great mate."

"Since moving to Townsville in January 2024, Brendan has been my triathlon coach through Your Multisport Coach. He provides exceptional feedback and attention to detail during my multiple swimming, cycling and running sessions each week. In the space of 4-5 months I have seen considerable gains across all three disciplines in time, technique and race strategy. As a 40-44 year old age group competitor myself in Sprint, Olympic and 70.3IM distances, Brendan understands that previous injuries impact my performance and he makes necessary accommodations. His guidance has extended to nutrition (pre-, intra- post-session), sweat testing, bike fits as well as recommending physiotherapists, sports doctors and the best place for bike maintenance and repairs. Brendan is a committed coach who I feel values me and genuinely wants me to improve and be the best athlete possible. Thanks Brendan, your efforts are greatly appreciated."

"Brendan Cochrane offers multiple training sessions in all three disciplines of triathlon. His sessions are fun and energetic. He caters to all abilities and maintains a positive vibe that makes training with him addictive. He intricately designs personal programs including nutrition advice, sweat testing and rest and recovery strategies that guarantees personal bests from every athlete. I love training with Brendan, and that is why I am nominating him for coach of the year!"

"I booked a sweat test with Brendan as I’d returned home from another disappointing (half Ironman) race where GI issues affected my ability to perform. Being 6 weeks away from my first Ironman, and feeling terrible during and after every long training session, I was incredibly nervous that my nutrition would be a factor in me not completing the full distance and so decided to do something about it. I saw an ad for the sweat tests on Brendan’s Facebook page and booked in right away.
The results didn’t surprise me but was a great confirmation of what I have been experiencing. What did surprise me was the sweat tests ability to provide a very specific “fix” to help me manage my sweat rate and sodium loss in training and racing.
Honestly, the fuelling advice Brendan provided (and precision continue to provide in the form of their very helpful emails) has been game changing for me. I did a complete overhaul of my nutrition following the assessment, to utilise Precision hydration. And now I actually feel like I have energy to complete my sessions and since my sweat test have been able to nail my long brick sessions ! It’s given me complete confidence that I am able to finish my Ironman (or that nutrition shouldn’t be a problem) and has also changed my recovery. For instance, prior to the test, after my long brick sessions I constantly felt like I was coming down with a cold and was confined to resting for the entire day- now I feel like I have energy to also engage with things outside of training.
Brendan is very helpful and informative and I couldn’t recommend this assessment enough."

"Thanks Brendan, easy for some coaches to step away when some of us are broken. You're knowledge and advice will help again in cairns when we have another crack at the full Ironman."

"What a great day all round. The atmosphere was electric and the whole experience is something I'll never forget.
I finished with a time of 4:52:35 beating my goal of sub 5 hours. All of this couldn't have been achieved without the help of my coach Brendan Cochrane
@heb_multisport_coaching Squeezing in 3:30am sessions and 2 + hour sessions after work all whilst being away from home and doing 12 hour shifts stuck in the middle of the desert which is why I can't thank my beautiful partner @kayleepell enough for all her love, support and encouragement to make all of my training commitments.
Lots of blood and sweat were put into this build and l'm sure the tears aren't too far behind as I up the training and focus on Sunshine Coast 70.3 and then on the Ironman Western Australia in December.
Digging the heels in, see you at the next one."

"I have been training with Brendan for the past two years having started triathlons late in life. While a lot of coaches claim to provide a personalised service and training plan I can honestly confirm that Brendan does. When I started with Brendan I had been competing in long course triathlons for the previous 4 years and had recently changed to shift work. I found Brendan's approach to be holistic taking into consideration my shift work schedule, previous injuries and family commitments. In the past two years I have seen my performance and fitness improve immensely achieving a podium finish in my most recent 70.3 and a top ten finish in my age group in my latest full IRONMAN. If you are looking for a coach that provides a truly individual service that achieves results- look no further."

"Brendan brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to his coaching.
The group sessions provide a fun environment to train whilst really pushing you physically and mentally, there is nothing better than a Sunday “fun” brick down Pallarenda!
Outside of group sessions Brendan’s flexible and versatile approach to programming is exceptional knowing one size doesn’t fit all; this is essential when working around difficult shift patterns."

"Brendan Cochrane, WTH are you doing to me? Where did these efforts come from?
Tuesday a 2hr ride with efforts and a run off the bike...and BAM, 2nd fastest 10km.
Friday a 3hr ride with efforts and a run off the bike...nec minute 2nd fastest 10km.
I think you've overdone it; you're turning me into Superman.
Thanks Coach!!"

"I’ve been training with Brendan for just over 2 years now and I’ve accomplished things I never thought I could do. I still remember nervously walking into Brendan’s office to talk to him about coaching all that time ago, overweight and unfit and thinking to myself he must think I’m nuts to be trying triathlon!!! But no, he made me feel comfortable with his crazy sense of humour and world of knowledge in this sport. When I first started my coaching program, I could barely swim 50m without stopping, hadn’t ridden a bike since I was a kid and the only running I did was from one side of a tennis court to the other. He catered my training program to suit my abilities and week after week I improved and got stronger and more confident. I completed my first ladies only mini triathlon in March of that year and it took me a long 1 hour and 2 mins but I loved it and I was hooked! Brendan continued to push me to improve each week and now I regularly swim 4ks a week, ride 100km a week and run 8-15ks a week. I am also training for my first 70.3 in June, despite the fact that I adamantly told Brendan I was not interested in ever doing one I just wanted to do sprints!! Never say never he said lol, but I think that was because I never believed that I could complete a race that big. But with Brendan’s belief in me and training behind me, I am well on my way to achieving that goal. If you are looking for a coach who will push you, support you, bring you out of those low points to achieve things you never thought you could then Brendan is your man. Thanks for all you do coach!"

"Brendan has always been a ‘take me for who I am’ kind of guy. He seems to be very versatile in how he handles his athletes. Some requiring more ‘maintenance’ than others. He calls it how it is, whilst always having a laugh and being positive and upbeat. He is himself a great athlete always looking to improve on previous racing and coaching results.
He is across the latest and most modern training methods and technologies, that are both simple and convenient to use. Feedback is frequent and as required.
He is definitely the pick of highly qualified coaches in the North Queensland region.
I look forward to what the future brings for our successful coach athlete relationship."

"As a person with sensory and physical difficulties I had a lot of self-doubt and lacked confidence while still managing my mental health triggers. About three years ago I met with Brendan from Hardcore Brands to help me integrate with society (be accepted) and to attempt new challenges.
I have tried fitting in to numerous clubs / groups with little success for various reasons but Brendan accepted my difficulties and encouraged me with my goals while valuing me. Showing empathy while trying to swim and ride with my disabilities – social rides and training sessions were adapted to my needs – while not making me feel less of a person but encouraging me to succeed. For example, when your eye sight deteriorates to the point that you cannot see further than 1m in front of you, and your coach encourages you to keep swimming by tapping your foot on every stroke or swimming right on your side, that is empowerment while helping one to achieve. I can also recall cycling in a group of three, when the sun reduced my sight causing me great concern and making me anxious; but Steve and Brendan got me cycling between them and while being able to cycle safely.
I have achieved numerous achievements but my greatest to date is the Cairns 140.6 Ironman. While managing full-time work and supporting a loving family of four, I told Brendan my goal (140.6 Ironman) with NO Ironman experience.
Honestly, I was told ‘I’m a dick’ – then with all the laughs to one side – shit got real. While understanding my family dynamics and commitments Brendan got me on a personalised nutrition and training plan while still understanding I needed balance to reduce relapse and I needed medical management.
During my training I always felt supported. I was pushed passed my comfort zone but I also felt like I was finding myself and it was social; especially when you are given a dog biscuit…"

"Training with Brendan was life changing. I was no athlete and I went from an overweight 40 year old to a fit 40 year old who completed 2 x 70.3 Ironman events and a half marathon, in one year.
Brendan got me to the start line injury free and the countless times when I said I couldn’t do it, he proved me wrong and brought the absolute best out of me. I would highly recommend Brendan to anyone, from an experienced athlete or a girl like me who just wanted to have a go and achieve something I never dreamed of being possible."
